The BrosQuitos started off as a incredible talent show act that eventually led to them opening for Andy Grammer at the Hard Rock Hotel in Palm Springs and becoming Finalists for Tachevah Music Festival. For the Tachevah competition, they performed at Bar in Palm Springs. About 370 fans filled the venue and formed a line at the entrance that stretched far down the street.
To add to their newfound recognition, the band has recently gained over six thousand listens on Soundcloud for their new EP!
In the past month, the BrosQuitos have played quite a few local venues. They plan to have many other events coming soon, which will be announced on their social media pages.
The band consists of four members. James Johnson (18) as the front-man, John Clark (19) as their lead guitarist, Max Powell (19) as their bassist, and Hugo Chavez (19) as their drummer. James, Max and Hugo attended Desert Hot Springs High School, and John attended College of the Desert. All are currently working at several companies, which doesn’t add up to what they’ve done outside of that part of their lives.
This young band has made some incredibly recognizable achievements considering their age. Front-man James states, “Our goals are set to please us, and the fans. We don’t aim too high, because we are in it for the music. Although outcome is important, we believe success is always shown after hard work.”
